Cub Scout Pack 39 is an organization serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students in Salem, Virginia.  We are an affiliate member of the Blue Ridge Mountains Council.

Our charter organization is:

First Christian Church

We meet on Tuesday nights during the school year from 7 pm. to 8 pm at First Christian Church.

We have 6 ranks comprised of boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th grade:

• Kindergarten - Lion Den
• First Grade - Tiger Den
• Second Grade - Wolf Den
• Third Grade - Bear Den
• Fourth Grade - Webelos Den
• Fifth Grade - Arrow Of Light Den

After completing Arrow Of Light requirements, Cub Scouts transition into a Boy Scout Troop.  Troop 39 also meets on Tuesday nights from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at First Christian Church.

Pack 39 focuses on making scouting a fun and rewarding experience for our scouts.  Our scouts will have the opportunity to attend at least 3 camping trips each year.  In addition, we have other fun filled events every year, including the Pinewood Derby, a  Blue and Gold banquet, conservation projects, and hiking.

A scout's experiences in their scouting journey will help them develop skills, character and knowledge to apply throughout their lifetime.
